Our First Week

Wow, we thought the Book of Mormon tour was tiring. Our first week is over and we are physically and mentally exausted. But totaly happy. It was a wonderful week. We learned that not only can Dad teach the gospel, but I can too. We had a great experience on Thursday. We had to teach a new investigator about the plan of salvation. She met us at the door and told us that she didn't want to be taught a lesson, just answer my questoins. She really asked some hard questions. by the time we were through, I had forgotten that she wasnt just pretending. The spirit was so strong and we connected. Anyway, it went real good and we met her later outside as she was leaving. She called us her "Golden Couple" She was a convert the church and was just acting like herself when the missionaries first taught her. She has a reputation of being the hardest investigator of the group. It was a wonderful experience. We had a testimony meeting for all the language students. We each bore our testimony in our new language. Tracy, we met a couple heading to Finland. Their teacher had been home for about 8 months he said to tell you that the work is going well in Finland. The temple has softened hearts and they are accepting the gospel much easier than when you were there. We also met a young Sister from Finland, but I can't remember where she is going. She said the same thing. Tracy when we get home we will send you money for the truck for getting it fixed. It wasn't your responsibility to fix it before you even got to drive it. If you still have the battery for the 4 wheeler, we'll pick it up and take it to Napa to get a credit when we come home from Washington. We hope you had a great time in the mountains. Ginger, we loved the picture of our "shy" camera girl. we won't be able to skype for now. we have to use the computer only in the lobby of the hotel and there is not enough privacy for skyping. We want to be able to meet Debbie next time we skype. Isaac, we are so proud of you. Getting baptized is an important decision and we are glad that it was a good experience for you. we are sorry that we missed it but glad that Ginger and Jaikka were there. Gideon, Grandpa wants to know how the fish tasted and did you share with others? That is a trip that Grandpa will never forget We send our love to all and a special hug for Nathan, Ryanne, Hannah, Gideon, Chandler, Isaac, Jaikka, Ashton and Eisley. Love Grandpa and Grandma, Dad and Mom

We Have Begun

I have tried to send this for two days, the hotel clerk has been a lot of help. Yes, we are in the Marriott Hotel because the MTC is too full for all of us. There are about 80 senior missionaries and 2000 young Elders and Sisters. What a wonderful experience. Tonight, Dad and I sang in a choir or 400 for the devotional. Wow. It was the best choir I've ever sang in. We are tired, our breakfast is at 7:00 and we just got back to our hotel and it is 9:00. Tomorrow I start the Spanish lessions after our regular classes. We are happy and truely enjoyig ourselves. We've met the fourth and final couple that will go to San Salvador with us. We send our love, I'll write when we get a chance, probably on the weekend, if I can remember all that the clerk has taught me. All our love, Mom and Dad
